Affiliated Medical Group offers Psychiatric Evaluations and Medication Management for a variety of behavioral health issues. Our providers specialize in all areas of need including but not limited to Autism, Adjustment Disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Anxiety, Depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Sleep Disturbances, Bipolar Disorders, and Schizoaffective Mood Disorders. A free initial screening with one of our staff members can determine the appropriateness of your situation for our clinic and identify the Provider best suited to assist you.

Psychiatric Evaluation

If the initial screening determines that our Providers can address your behavioral and mental health needs, then an appointment will be scheduled for you to receive a Psychiatric Evaluation from one of our providers. A Psychiatric Evaluation involves a discussion with one of our providers regarding diagnosis and treatment for your symptoms. During the visit, we will review your current symptoms as well as your medical, psychiatric, social, and family history. The information gathered will allow our provider to make an accurate diagnosis and recommend the most appropriate treatment for you.

Medication Management

As a result of your Psychiatric Evaluation, you may be prescribed medication to alleviate or manage your symptoms. As many psychiatric conditions are the result of underlying biological issues, medication can be a critical component of your treatment. Our providers will discuss with you the nature of your illness, the reason for the medication if needed and the likelihood of improving with and without medication. Further, the provider will explain the type of medication being recommended and any possible side effects. Once you begin the medication our Provider will schedule routine follow-up appointments to make sure the medication is working properly for you. Based on your individualized need we may recommend services to include psychotherapy, psychological/neuropsychological testing, neurological assessment or others.
